Roles in your workspace
Your workspace has exactly three roles: Workspace owner, Editor and Member. Everyone you invite holds one of them, and it applies to that workspace only.
What each one can do
| Role | Can do |
|---|---|
| Workspace owner | Everything an Editor can, plus inviting people, changing roles and removing access. |
| Editor | Open projects, edit the content the Bridger team has opened for editing, and manage learning content. |
| Member | Open what has been shared with them, and work through assigned learning. |
A Member is the lowest permission, not a middle one. If someone needs to edit project copy or assign learning, they need Editor.
Roles are per workspace
If your company has more than one workspace in the portal, the role is set separately in each. Being a Workspace owner in one grants nothing in another.
Why you may see the word "Owner" twice
The portal carries two role systems that do not overlap: yours, above, and a separate one for the Bridger team. They are shown with different words on purpose — your top role reads Workspace owner, never bare "Owner", because it is scoped to one workspace while the Bridger side is not.
If a Bridger operator appears on a screen alongside your team, that is what the different vocabulary is marking. It is not a role you can grant or change.
Changing someone's role
A Workspace owner can change any role from Settings → Team, including promoting another person to Workspace owner. Removing someone's access does not delete what they contributed.
